But not just any music, the music that you principally discover on youtube. I have several songs which I would like to look at.
Firstly, OK GO. All their songs are amazing in general, I think they hit jackpot with their music video of 'Here it goes again' where they performed an excellent dance routine on treadmills. I think they are a truly imaginative bunch when it comes to the videos, but also they back it up with even more amazing music. A true testament to their creative genius is in their song 'Needing/Getting', one of the versions is created with music created with a car.
Go on.Watch it.

Go ahead, I'll be still here when it's finished.
See? Told you it was good! I don't even listen to their 'normal' version of it, I much prefer their car version! I have to say that my favourite part are the pianos, however, you can clearly see that I am no expert on this sort of thing. "The part with the pianos"? Are you sure you want to read on?
Next up is this fantastic band which I found through a friend's recommendation. I can't explain but my favourite is their cover of 'Somebody that I used to know'.
Here is the linkiedoops so you can check it out.

I hope you're watching these! You won't regret it, I promise you.
The last one I want to talk about is one directed by Slomozovo, I don't think this band has a very prominent youtube presence to my knowledge. I genuinely loved the song, but since it's not on amazon I do not have the joy of listening to it whenever I want. The song is definitely epic and a good note to end this very short post.
Enjoy :)

Once you click on it there is no need to return to this page. I will say no more.
Except, that there are other brilliant songs out there but these are my favourite at the moment. No judgement… Right?

Late
It's been a couple of days I can tell you that. It was more depressing to come back to uni than I expected, I was thrown a little off guard to be honest and spent the last couple of days in bed watching random things (mainly Community this series I just started which is actually quite good). I promise that I will blog but I don't want into to be as an excuse to procrastinate and just post BS. It did miss the last couple of days but looking at my track record I think I did quite well. I'm not going to beat myself up but I quite liked how I performed. I do have some leftover stuff I wanted to talk to anyone out there about so there are things in the pipeline. Don't worry! Read the last post which was written a few weeks ago and look forward to what is coming next ;)
Past Me
I decided to write this near the beginning of BEDA to post near the end, just because I can and I was bored one night. Hey, honesty is the best policy.
So far, BEDA has made me see blogging in a different light. Before it was hard to organise the posts and what I was going to write but in the end all it came down to was a lack of pressure? structure? Whatever BEDA brings it is helping me so far. I hope I stick to it because it makes me talk about issues I never would have done. I know not many people read this blog, but I always set it out so I could do something for myself. God, I am so selfish. It is also a way to get my writing into gear, improve grammar, structure, style and content. I don't think I might be cut out for reviews yet since the ones I write here are truly disorganised and sometimes I pity the poor soul who choses to try and read them and attempt to understand what I think. Maybe with time this will improve, but either way the reviews are there to draw attention to certain series/books/films and tell you at least whether I liked them or not. I tend not to read reviews because I am very influenced by them. If I read reviews before I see the film it changes my experience, and if I see it after it moulds my opinions so I have learnt to stay clear of them as much as I can. So why am I even writing them? To be honest, I have no clue. Maybe to sort my own thoughts out, maybe because I have nothing else better to do.
Now what I can read easily is opinions on other matters, mainly politics. I approach any literature/media with a skeptical eye, always reading between the lines. My studies have helped me do this more in regards to tv and film but I have always had the cynical outlook when it comes to all that stuff. Everything is biased, there is always something else being said everywhere you look, even when it's not intentional. Some concern stereotypes, such as those used in adverts (how many cooking and cleaning adverts are centred around women?), but others reveal a much more political agenda. An example of this might be the occupy movement, most news reports seemed to avoid saying what they're reasons are or portraying the movement as having no aim. Which is ridiculous because there was an aim, they just didn't want to spell it out. Another example is one I don't remember where it was from, but it was about building a museum. Now building one is always nice but the fact of the matter is the people of the neighbourhood were protesting it. However, instead of showing the other view, the news decided to just focus on the fact that the museum was not going to be built and that the people were refusing a chance to rebuild their community. Didn't they think it would be important to tell us why the people didn't want it? To show some people from the other side of the argument instead of one? It was ridiculous.
Anyway, politics aside- well, actually not quite yet. I am thoroughly enjoying researching the parties and candidates so far, I know at least one person who will be influenced by my research, and perhaps more in extension. People don't take the time to familiarise themselves with these and I think it's a bit of a loss. Whoever you are, you have the opportunity to discover what kind of government you want. Now, whether they are elected is another matter, but I think making it clearer in your head is the first step to understanding and working towards a system you like best. I'm just saying. Of course, I understand that my posts will probably be biased, so don't only use my words.
Hopefully, the rest of the month will bring many more posts and I hope whoever is reading/read them will enjoy my little slices of my mind. It's probably not very ingenious but it's the only one I have so I'm going to make the most of it.

Film update with the Beard
A couple of weeks (months?) back I watched all the trailers available on Apple and made a list of which films I would like to see. Today I decided to revisit this list and update it with new additions. It turned out harder than I thought since Apple has decided to do away with Front Row and so browsing trailers is that much harder.
A Dangerous Method a film based in Freud's era (I think he even makes an appearance) where a psychiatrist starts having an affair with one of his patients.
Anonymous a film about Shakespeare or rather who wrote all the plays.
Arthur Christmas a christmassy animation film, joy!
The Avengers I will have to catch up on all the superhero movies post-Iron Man 2 but I can safely say: I. Will. Not. Miss. This.
Best Exotic Marigold Hotel a film about people going to India to retire.
The Broken Tower based on the life of poet Hart Crane starring James Franco. I'm interested in the poet's life and would love to see this film.
Dark Shadows Tim Burton and Johnny Depp reunite for this vampire comedy, bring it on!
Connected a documentary on how the world is more and more online and shiz.
Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close a film centred around a boy who sees life a little differently and sets out to find what his recently deceased father's key opens.
Le Havre I honestly have no idea what it's about but it's based in a town I love very much. I will not watch the trailer and will wait for the surprise.
Little Birds two girls flee their home with three older boys to go to L.A. I don't really know what to expect but it looks appealing, I am intrigued.
Lola Versus a fun-looking movie about a thirty year old woman who get dumped two weeks before the wedding and goes on a voyage of discovery (boy the way I say it is crap but it looks less corny then I made it sound).
Looper targets are sent back to me killed by hired assassins called loopers, one of which the film centres around. All is honkey dory until his future self is sent back to be killed. Joseph-Gordon Levitt and an interesting story? I'm there!
Machine Gun Preacher Gerard Butler is an ex-criminal who goes to Sudan to build an orphanage.
MIB 3 Will Smith's character is sent to the 70s to figure out who killed K and why.
Moonrise Kingdom An impressive cast assembled for this new Wes Anderson feature about two kids who seemed to have run away.
Prometheus a successful viral campaign has been conceived for the prequel to the Alien franchise so check out those videos!
The Raven a film based in Edgar Allen Poe's era where the police ask for his help after murders start happening based on his stories.
Ruby Sparks a film by the same director as Little Miss Sunshine (a fantastic film) so I am confident this will be good. It's centres on a writer who starts a story about a girl called Ruby Sparks, only to discover her in the flesh at his house one day.
Quill a feel-good film about a man and his guide dog. Just watching the trailer brought a tear to my eye.
Rock of the Ages a fun-looking musical, who doesn't love a musical? The plot is arbitrary.
Ted the first film by the creator of Family Guy about a teddy bear that comes to life and as the bear and boy age they must grow up, it looks quite unique and funny.
Total Recall some sort of rediscovering some sort of identity set in the future. Nope, don't really know what is going on but I'm excited!

Life thy name is mine
Words or phrases that summarise my life so far:
- Student: Second-year, on the verge of the end of it. It's been an alright year for academics, don't want to say anything to jinx it. Could do better really, will do better! Things on the horizon include three essays, five exams, picking options for next year, careers market, and a decision on whether my dissertation proposal is accepted or not. Add to that a potential part-time job and work with a student media organization. Plus hopefully some sort of socializing and that's my term all sorted out!
- Writer: Trying. So hard. Well, not really at the moment. I'm working on a project that I started a year and a half ago. It's very rough and since I take it up randomly it's hard to remember what I wrote. I know, I should write a plan, but I never have and I feel like if I over think it then I lose the potential for better ideas. Most of the plot comes spontaneously so I figured if I start planning then that part of my brain will just shut down and it might not be as good. It just doesn't work for me very well.
- Alone: I like being alone, not all the time but I can't stand being around people all the time. Not even half the time. It starts to feel like an obligation or I don't have the freedom to do certain things... It's quite hard to explain but it just doesn't feel right, maybe it's me. When I'm out it's fine but when at home I prefer spending most of my time by myself, preferably have the whole house to myself! :D I don't know why but it's just much more peaceful, I don't feel guilty about being holed up in my room if I'm the only one in the house.
- Unemployed: Hopefully going to have some sort of job before the summer holidays are over. I definitely want to save up for a trip after graduation. It started out as a joke but I really want to travel, and for once not with my family. I also want a job in the media industry to finally see how it all really works. My filming mainly consists of just me with a camera and then mashing the project together. I would love to work in a team, or finally understand what all the different positions entail. I can't settle on one to dream for so maybe it might help me out. Or it might just mean that I don't have the attention span to settle on one job for the rest of my life, that would clear things up for me a lot. Future is quite hazy at the moment. I don't even know if I want to stay in England, maybe one more year to do a master that involves something more practical than theoretical but I feel that Paris is calling for me. I just want to settle somewhere, have a place to live that isn't temporary. To not live in suitcases, well that's what it feels like sometimes. I will also be closer to most of the people I care about, plus it's easier to get to and a more attractive place to visit/live. Just… Something to dream about.
Apologies
I missed two days because for once I have been busy. I was trying to decide whether I wanted to post 3 in one day but I figured I would just post into May rather than give up all my good material at once! ;)
The sad thing is that you missed out on my best rants of Sunday night, more of that tomorrow (probably). Yesterday and today has been disneyland galore, so much! The rain made it almost unbearable, I think I have succeeded in catching something so -.-'
Right now watching Scooby doo (have an urge to make an extremely adult version (as in gory) and getting ready for the day ahead!
Catch you on the other side ;) promise I will make it up! … Tomorrow.
